Campaign “Moscow Doctors for Veterans”
03.04.2024Every year, to celebrate Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, the Moscow Department of Health organizes (from April 1 to May 15, 2024) an awareness-raising and preventive campaign “Moscow Doctors for Veterans.”
The purpose of the event is to strengthen and preserve the health of the older generation, to provide useful advice and recommendations to every veteran.
Therefore, GAUZ "SP No. 64 DZM" has prepared some useful tips on how to keep your teeth healthy throughout your life:
- Don't neglect daily hygiene
Regular brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and flossing daily are the foundation of oral care at any age.
- Visit your dentist regularly
Routine visits to the dentist are necessary not only for professional cleanings, but also for early detection of potential problems such as tooth decay or gum disease.
- Moisturizing your mouth
As many people age, salivation decreases, which can lead to dry mouth and, as a result, the development of tooth decay. Drink enough water and use mouth moisturizers as recommended by your doctor.
- Proper nutrition
Dental health starts from the inside. A diet rich in calcium and vitamins will support not only your teeth, but also the bone tissue around them. Include more dairy products, vegetables and fruits in your diet.
- Caring for your dentures
If you use dentures, make sure they are clean and fit correctly. Contact your dentist regularly to check the condition of your dentures.
Remember, taking care of your teeth as you age is an investment in your health that will allow you to enjoy life without pain or discomfort. Follow these simple tips, and your teeth will serve you faithfully for many years!
